Who are we and what do we support?

We are a community of trail users from diverse backgrounds who firmly believe in the transformative power of collaboration and strategic planning for the development and preservation of trails. Our collective representation includes both non-motorized and motorized enthusiasts, united in our efforts to collaborate with government entities and establish a sustainable trail network that will stand the test of time for generations to come.

NTS sincerely acknowledges that the land on which we are privileged to engage in recreational activities is located on Treaty 6 territory, a traditional meeting grounds, gathering place, and travelling route to the Cree, Saulteaux (So-toe), Blackfoot, Métis, Dene (De-nay) and Nakota Sioux (Sue). We acknowledge all the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries.

Where do we manage trails?

We champion the broader Nordegg area, with a primary focus on the town’s surrounding trails. As a society, our impact goes beyond Nordegg, as we actively collaborate with governing bodies to improve and oversee trails throughout the expansive David Thompson corridor.
